Performance test of stainless steel elbow

Release time: 2021-03-13  Font size  big  Middle  Small

The performance test of stainless steel elbows is as follows:

Tensile test: measuring stress and deformation, determining the strength (YS, TS) and plasticity index (A, Z) of the material. Longitudinal and transverse specimens include pipe sections, arcs, and circular specimens (¢ 10, ¢ 12.5) with small diameters, thin-walled large diameters, and thick walled calibration distances.

Impact test: CVN, notch C-type, V-type, energy J value J/cm2 standard specimen 10 × 10 × 55 (mm) non-standard specimen 5 × 10 × 55 (mm). Further testing of the process performance of stainless steel pipes will be conducted, including flattening tests and ring tensile tests. Flattening tests will be conducted on circular specimens and C-shaped specimens (S/D>0.15) with H=(1+2) S/(∝+S/D) L=40-100mm and a unit length deformation coefficient of 0.07-0.08. Ring pull test: L=15mm without cracks is qualified.

Stainless steel elbows have excellent corrosion resistance (oxidative acids, organic acids, cavitation), heat resistance, and wear resistance. It is commonly used in power plants, chemical, petroleum, and other industries.
